Enterprise Singapore Open Innovation Seminar" was held on September 3.
Singapore is blessed with talented people and has a very high entrepreneurial awareness. Enterprise Singapore (Singapore Enterprise Agency) is a government-affiliated organization that assists Singaporean companies in their overseas expansion and supports small and medium-sized enterprises and startups in Singapore.
Enterprise Singapore holds an annual Event info called SWITCH in early November to help startups expand their business, and SWITCH hosts SLINGSHOT, a startup competition where promising startups from around the world compete for cash prizes. We also have a program called the Sustainability Open Challenge (SOIC), in which companies submit challenges and win prize money to solicit solutions, and large companies from around the world are taking advantage of open innovation. In last year's SOIC (2020), ENEOS, a Japanese company, submitted a challenge to promote solar power generation on farmland and sustainable smart mobility, and is currently exploring the possibility of collaborating with a Singaporean company. SOIC 2021 is currently accepting applications for new technologies from all over the world. Japanese companies can also propose ways to solve the challenges, or become challenge owners and submit challenges to engage in open innovation.
