Held the 2nd General Meeting of the Roundtable for the Promotion of Food Diversity
On Thursday, January 25, 2024, the second general meeting of the Roundtable for Promoting Food Diversity was held in Osaka City with 62 participants.
The Round Table is part of the efforts of the Tourism Environment of the Asia Business Creation Platform (What is ABC Platform) to create an environment for food diversity in preparation for the Osaka-Kansai Expo so that cities in the Kansai region and other regions can establish themselves as international tourism destinations. The objective is to create an environment that can accommodate a diversity of foods in preparation for the Osaka Expo.
At the general meeting, the activities of the Round Table were reported, and examples of companies that have introduced pictograms of food ingredients on their menus so that people can make their own decisions about whether or not to eat, as well as issues and future developments, were introduced. The event also featured tastings and introductions of current activities by companies and organizations that are promoting food diversity.
In addition to continuing to promote the creation of food-related businesses through round tables, the association will continue to develop an environment that allows a diverse range of people to comfortably enjoy tourism, including Muslims, vegetarians, vegans, and people with food allergies.
