Mr. Saito, SENSHU IKEDA HOLDINGS,INC.
Q: We have about 1,000 part-time international students nationwide, and we are sometimes asked about their career paths, such as wanting to return to their home countries to work, even though they have come all the way to Japan to study.
I would like to know what advice you can give them.
A: Japanese companies overseas are more interested in people who have actually worked in Japan than in people who have studied Japanese in their home countries and can speak Japanese,
Japanese companies overseas are looking for people who have actually worked in Japan, rather than people who have studied Japanese in their home country and can speak Japanese. The challenges are the difference in cost of living and salary between Japan and Japan.
The issue is the difference in cost of living and salary between Japan and Japan. We need to share this information with them. Job searches can be done through SNS, etc.
Q: How popular is it to find a job or study in Japan from Vietnam due to Corona?
A: There is no change in popularity. Those who can speak Japanese and those who have learned how to work in Japan are paid well.

Mr. Ricky Fung of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council also commented in an e-mail, "As discussed in the breakout session, it is a good time to reconsider the concept of lump-sum employment in April, depending on the industry, regarding student employment, etc.

From the employer's point of view, foreign students are no longer a cost-saving measure to secure cheap labor, but rather a business decision should be made to evaluate the diversity and abilities of foreign students and assign them to jobs that Japanese people cannot do.
This also requires a change in Japanese society as a whole, but it will take time. I would like to continue to support them, even if only in a very small way." He said, "I am very happy to be here.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 16:30.
