This project will support demonstration projects in which Japanese companies collaborate with ASEAN companies and institutions to solve economic and social issues in ASEAN by making full use of digital technology,
The project will support demonstration projects that aim to solve economic and social issues in ASEAN through the use of digital technology by Japanese companies in cooperation with ASEAN companies and institutions.

Requirements for the project
The project must be designed to solve specific economic and social issues faced by the Member Country and contribute to the resolution of such issues.
The project must utilize innovation in digital technology.
The project must utilize innovation in digital technology.
The project must be expected to start or continue operations in the host country or other ASEAN region at an early stage (generally within two years after the completion of this demonstration project).
Number of adopted cases
About 25 cases for large enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises
Maximum amount and rate of subsidy
Normal quota
Small and medium-sized enterprises: Within one-half of the expenses eligible for subsidies, up to 20 million yen
Large companies: Within one-third of the eligible expenses, up to 10 million yen
Special Quota* (for small and medium-sized enterprises)
Small and medium enterprises: Within one-half of eligible expenses, up to 50 million yen
Large companies: Up to one-third of eligible expenses, up to 50 million yen
Demonstration projects in which the cost of machinery and equipment accounts for more than 50% of the total cost to be subsidized and the total project cost is large
Deadline for application
First round adoption: Friday, May 26, 2023, 5:00 p.m. (Japan Standard Time)
Second round adoption: Friday, October 6, 2023, 5:00 p.m. (Japan Standard Time)
The schedule for adoption differs between the first and second rounds.
